Casual Observation
Bearded irises in pots really get off on not sharing their
space with any other plants. It’s a
matter of dress codes, you see. Or, in
another language, THEY LIKE TO STAY WEEDED!
So why, then, do you have them in pots? Surely you know that irises grow best on
open ground.
I had them on open ground, but some years ago, voles nearly
wiped them out. So, the pots. Cheap, 3- and 5-gallon nursery pots on
raised beds.
