Political Perps

From my point of view the fact that B. Obama is the first so-called "black" person ever to get this far in running for U.S. President, though somewhat significant, still deserves mention only as much as the accompanying yet never mentioned fact that J. McCain is the umpteenth so-called "white" man striving for the same office.

That we should be constantly reminded of Obama's skin tones while never hearing about McCain's must be because those who favor McCain consider Obama's candidacy to be unnatural, while McCain's is, in the words of the execrable R. Limbaugh, "the way things should be." And I am sure that McCain, like the other incompetent that he hopes to succeed, GW Bush, sees being the President as only his right, his legacy, a result not of his own talents but of who his forbears were.

And yet, even with those on McCain's side desperately trying to perpetuate the consistent wrongs of the current administration, things change, and we should all be grateful that at least these people can't reverse that basic law of nature.

They definitely would do that if they could. Look at how they have already suspended habeus corpus, made kidnapping, torture, and permanent imprisonment integral parts of a new American way, and are now even trying to force people to redefine things like abortion according to their way of what they mistakenly call "thinking."
