What is it? Medical Again

After having already had my blood drawn once, I had to return because not enough had been taken, or either that something had gone wrong with respect to determining the condition of my cholesterol and my kidneys and liver. Next my doctor's nurse called to say that everything had turned out fine with my blood tests, except that there's some question about my kidneys. So now I'm waiting to hear from the doctor about that. He has already suggested that I have "weak kidneys."

I wonder which is worse, weak kidneys or weak lower legs? Well, the answer is obvious. Still, I can't feel anything in my kidneys, but recently my left leg, from the knee down, joined my right in being weak and even painful at times, as if a sort of arthritis that for a time a few years ago plagued my right knee is now settling into the other leg. Or is it something called P.A.D.?

A drug ad on TV brought that Peripheral Arterial Disease to my attention some time ago. It showed a guy walking around with the same sort of weakness in his legs that I have.

I guess I have to ask the doctor about that the next time I talk to him, though, as always, I'm trying to deal with things on my own. August is already here, and soon I will have to spend a couple of months cutting firewood, and doing that would be a real experience, on wobbly, pained legs.
