Case of the Year, if not the Decade
Here, courtesy of the Angry Arab News Service,is a New York Times article about an upcoming trial that, if it actually takes place and if all the principals can be persuaded to step onto the stage, could be the most important and interesting courtroom drama of recent years, if not the decade. Unfortunately, as someone pointed out, there are -- so far -- no sex elements involved. That would really seal the deal.
By the way, if you would like to get a good idea of all the finagling that led up to the latest round of hostilities between the Israelis and the Palestinians, here is a highly informative article in Vanity Fair that was pointed to also by Angry Arab.
He says that, "The side that comes across well in such articles is the side that leaked the most to the writers." And he opines that here that side consisted of the Israeli intelligence services.
And so, in roundabout ways, these two articles are connected.
